Before and after photos do not do this dyed transformation due justice. The old stonewashed denim covers soaked in the navy dye beautifully and darkened up nicely. The red piping is now more violet and I'm still contemplating what I can do to add to this transformation. Initially, I planned to paint on the dye to try to achieve a graphic effect, but that idea failed. My next inspiration is to use either a bleach pen or some fabric paint to add some graphic enhancement to these cushions. I think a simple chevron pattern might be nice and this could tie in to whatever I do to try to tame the piping (husband hates it). The pillows are much better. Any ideas?
