Last night around 3 a.m. I could have used some relief. I have a ridiculous amount of mosquito bites all over my legs. There is even a lovely cluster of 5 or 6 bites on my left foot. I think it's pretty obvious that I was miserable and not sleeping. Both of my legs are speckled with bites and just being touched by the covers was almost too much. I currently have a tube of hydrocortisone cream at the ready, but I still have that tingling itch that wants to be scratched until it bleeds. How do you cope with mosquito bite torture?

Cornstarch in bath water, calamine lotion spots on your legs, benadryl, but my favorite is a remedy called "After Bite" The Itch Eraser- active ingredient is ammonia. It looks like a fat pen. I've had it for years, and it still smells of ammonia. Per directions says "Repeat as needed. Prompt use gives maximum relief." It really works.
I used white vinegar and smelled like a pickle jar minus the good stuff. I might have to get myself some ammonia or calamine if these bites continue to multiply every time I go outside.
