Roasted

When I got home yesterday I was pleasantly surprised. Not only was my husband cooking an exceptional dinner, he was making my favorite soup. Roasted garlic soup from the Hopvine was a springtime treat. I had it for dinner yesterday and it was perfect. Oh yes. And, it gets better. Something inspired him to bake a flourless chocolate cake for dessert. I'm glad this inspiration doesn't hit every day otherwise I would start looking like a Texan (that is a slight to the fit people I know from TX for sure). What culinary delights or surprises have you experienced recently?

I bought a Pizza Peel the other day, we made dough and had olive oil pizza and mozzarella from central market and basil from my herb garden. Wife unit took pictures I just haven't posted them lately. I am way down for some darn Hopvine soup. That ish takes so long to make. So worth it. Next time you're up I have a 7.5 gallon pot, we can make a metric ton of the broth.

Hatch chiles are in the NW markets, which means they are even closer to you in TX. Aren't there a few recipes with these in the SOUPS cook book as well??
